Aiko Endo received an MSc Coastal and Ocean Policy from the Faculty of Science (Marine Institute) of University of Plymouth in the UK, and researched fisheries economics for a PhD at the Graduate School of Biosphere Science of Hiroshima University in Japan. She served as a project leader of a project entitled “Human-Environmental Security in the Asia-Pacific Ring of Fire: Water-Energy-Food Nexus” at the national Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN) in Japan between 2013 and 2018 and is a Visiting Associate Professor at the CGCEO, Michigan State University and the RIHN.
