Dr. Sieglinde Snapp awarded Fellow status in SSSA

October 30, 2019

MSU’s own Sieglinde Snapp, Professor of Soils and Cropping Systems Ecology and Associate Director of CGCEO, has recently been awarded Fellow status in the Soil Science Society of America (SSSA).  She was elected as a Fellow based on her soil science contributions in Africa and insights into how biology and human centered design can support sustainable solutions to soil management in agriculture.  Less than 1% of SSSA members achieve Fellow status, which require the nominee to “have made outstanding contributions in an area of specialization whether in research, teaching, extension, service, or administration and whether in public, commercial, or private service activities” https://www.soils.org/awards/view.  Congratulations Sieg!
